At present we have more than 500 hectares of our own vineyards within the “Ribera del Guadiana” Denominacion de Origen (A Guarantee of the origin and quality of the wine). The main grape varieties are the Spanish white Cayetana and Pardina varieties and others such as Macabeo. Where red wine is concerned, the main grape variety is Tempranillo as well as others such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Mazuelo.
The vineyards are located in the fertile region, or vine area known as Tierra de Barros. The region is mainly flat, with fertile soil and a significant capacity for water retention. It is at an altitude of 300 m. to 500 m. and the average rainfall varies between 350 and 450 l/m_. The climate is continental, with cold winters and very sunny summers, guaranteeing good vineyard growth and excellent grape ripeness.
